Unconventional circumstances make for unconventional art. This year’s IMPACT Performance Festival took place virtually on the weekend of April 17 & 18, 2021. For this collaboration, TNL brings to you short 1ON1 sessions with all eight participating artists with a limited-run replay of their performances.
May 3 - 10, 2021 a daily interview release.

Tell us a little about you and your art interests.
Give us some insights into the work you presented at IMPACT.
In what ways did the virtual presentation this year challenge you?
Would you continue to use virtual components when you get to perform in person?
Which one do you find yourself agreeing with the most?
I loved the Zoom performance! I definitely see myself doing more virtual performances in the future.
I have my reservation with the virtual format. It is effective but also problematic.
The performer should always be present with a live audience. See you in real life!
What are some ways in which organizations, curators and festival organizers can better support you in a virtual environment?
