After a delay in the original flight timings and a few detours, we finally land in Havana. Everyone is assigned a host family to stay with, so the group splits up and goes to their individual houses. Just before we leave, Rachel Weiss announces the schedule for the next day at dinner and it includes visiting Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA)--The National Art Schools of Cuba.

Previously a golf course, the space used to design the school was to become an integral part of the guiding design principles put in place by the three architects. So instead of demolishing it or making the land more even, it was integrated into the design.
The other two guiding principles were: the use of locally found materials like terracotta tiles and an organic form of construction called the Catalan vault. The last two were largely practical decisions because the US embargo against Cuba, which started in 1960, had made the import of rebar (reinforcements steel) and Portland cement very costly.

The dominator imposes his perception of reality on the other through VR glasses and immerses him in a situation he considers to be the true reality. Meanwhile the dominated allows himself to be manipulated, wanting it as it becomes a vice and a desirable way to live.
The VR interpretations, over the course of the film, become increasingly blurred with lived reality which creates an ambiguity for viewers and the characters of the film. This confusion eventually seeps into the power roles between the twins.
This is intended as a metaphor for the desire to control their own reality. To question the strategies of manipulating reality that has been established by those in power is one of the fundamental objectives of this piece. Croma tries to explore the notion of virtual reality and a suspicion syndrome within these spaces that defines contemporary society today.
